Proper maintenance ensures the longevity, safety and comfort of your manufactured home or modular. The following schedule is recommended:
Weekly
- Clean carpets, furniture, sinks, tubs, countertops, and linoleum floors.
Monthly
- Clean cabinets, replace filters on range hood & furnace, test smoke detectors, GFIC Circuit, check windows & doors.
Quarterly
- Clean walls and metal siding.
- Inspect roof stacks, vents, water heater temperature-pressure (T&P) valve, mechanical air ventilation system (especially at the beginning of winter).
- Check tiedowns.
- Level and adjust piers.
Yearly
- Clean drapery.
- Inspect painted siding and chassis; touch up paint as needed in the spring.
- Caulk all joints and opening; inspect bottom boards for damage in fall.
- Check heat tape and skirting vents for blockages.
- Winterize swamp coolers and remove hoses from exterior hose bibs.
