Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Operations & Maintenance Specialist to support daily shop operations, inventory organization and general maintenance. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient shop and yard while assisting with parts management, minor mechanical work and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Maintain a clean organized shop, yard and work areas
- Organize, stock and manage parts inventory in the shop and on company vehicles
- Perform minor maintenance and mechanical repairs on company vehicles and utility trailers
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on small engines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance on company vehicles
- Perform yard maintenance, including weed removal and general upkeep
- Assist with building maintenance as needed
- Run errands, including delivering parts to job sites
- Load parts and materials for customers and crews
- Assist on job sites when needed due to staffing shortages
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50+lbs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (No DUI conviction within the past 5 years)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicles, trailers and small engines preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Dependable, organized and detail oriented
